In this study, we attach importance to addressing the continuity of disasters. This can help to understand the experiences of LGBTI+ people, a vulnerable group. Because an ongoing disaster can complicate the recovery process when a new disaster is added on to it. For example, crises such as social hierarchy and poverty experienced by groups that are the targets of violence due to structural and cultural segregation before a disaster, such as housing, education, health, law etc. can become a long-term disaster.
The objective of this research is to understand the capability of LGBTI+ inclusive disaster management in Turkey, from the perspective of LGBTI+ people affected by the February 6 Kahramanmaraş and February 20 Hatay earthquakes and organizations or individuals showing solidarity with them.
